Through-colored paper: checking both faces and across the sheet

QiLi Paper / VANGLAM

PALETTE 40 uses color introduced into the pulp. That does not remove the need to compare faces, sheet positions and the intended converting process.

Through-colored paper: checking both faces and across the sheet

Color in the body of the sheet

PALETTE 40 is through-colored, with color in the paper core as well as on its surface. This does not promise that every position and both faces are identical under all conditions. Color, feel, surface fuzz and uniformity still need comparison.

Align the observation

Use the same orientation, lighting and background when comparing both faces and positions across the sheet. Read color first, subtle texture in raking light second, and feel last. Keeping those differences consistent is a control objective. Agree a physical reference for the project.

FAQ: Can all colors share one color-difference limit?

Do not apply an unconfirmed universal value. The paper, observation conditions and measurement method should be agreed together.

Proof subsequent processes

Check absorption, surface strength and any later coating adhesion with the actual ink, coating and process. These requirements do not make PALETTE a coated paper.

Include color, weight, face and application in a sample request so repeat orders can return to an agreed material reference.

Cover: an original digital color study, not a physical paper specimen. Confirm color and surface with physical samples.
