One Colored-Paper Brief for the Brand, Designer and Printer
Keep color intent, surface, grammage and proofing responsibilities in one shared material brief.

Start with the application
The brand identifies whether the paper is an outer wrap, card or sleeve, and what the identity must communicate. The designer adds the VANGLAM Color System 40 number, bilingual name, color relationships and actual-size process artwork. The printer confirms the platform, ink, grain direction, creasing and finishing sequence. All three should work from the same brief.
Make surface expectations concrete
Record the desired fine, even, low-gloss surface and very subtle uniform paper texture, then attach the approved physical reference. The flexible feel of 110 gsm and the more supportive character of 240 gsm are selection starting points. They do not replace thickness, structural or finished-product checks. Assign responsibility for reviewing side-to-side and front-to-back consistency, absorption and finishing adhesion.
FAQ: Is a HEX value enough for the brief?
No. Digital color is a communication reference. Colors 33–40 currently have no approved digital values, so use their numbers, names and physical samples. Record grade, grammage, quantity, timing and unresolved points for every component; do not assume every color is stocked in every specification.
Share the brief with QiLi Paper and retain versions through paper selection, print proof and final approval.
Cover: an original digital color study, not a physical paper specimen. Confirm color and surface with physical samples.
