Drying with centralised steam from waste-to-energy incineration
Drying is one of the most energy-intensive steps in papermaking and coating. At QiLi Paper, all drying steam is supplied centrally from waste-to-energy incineration.

Papermaking and coating need continuous, stable heat for drying. At QiLi Paper, all drying steam is supplied centrally from waste-to-energy incineration.
What is different about this?
Energy source: drying heat comes from steam produced by waste incineration, putting waste that must be treated anyway to use as energy.
Centralised supply: steam is delivered by a centralised heat-supply system, with the heat source managed as one.
Part of clean production: together with no wastewater discharge, no VOC emissions and a full set of environmental equipment, it forms the mill's overall environmental practice.
Why does it matter to brands?
Energy source is a common question in supplier environmental assessments, and it can be answered clearly.
The environmental story of a pack can point to a concrete production step, not only to the paper's raw materials.
How do we communicate environmental claims?
We state only facts we can support. We do not convert them into our own carbon-reduction figures or borrow data from other brands. If your project needs energy or environmental documentation, send an enquiry through the website with the intended use and we will provide what applies.
