90% wood and 10% cotton pulp: writing a useful paper brief
Separate the pulp blend, surface and application. A composition statement is useful material information, not a substitute for a finished sample.

State what the ratio describes
PALETTE 40 uses a stated pulp blend of 90% wood pulp and 10% cotton pulp. That is a pulp description, not a complete mass composition of the finished sheet. It should not be rewritten as all-cotton paper.
Describe the surface as well
The paper has a fine, level, low-sheen surface, with a very subtle and even texture and a dry feel. Connect these observations to a physical sample. A brand, designer and printer can discuss that reference more clearly than a blend ratio alone.
FAQ: Does cotton content prove folding performance or certification?
No. The ratio does not establish folding strength, wet resistance, print compatibility or environmental certification. Confirm the requirements for the selected grade and project.
Make the brief useful
List the color, a 110 or 240 gsm direction, application and processes. Compare the flexible feel of 110 gsm and the substance of 240 gsm in the finished construction. Request samples with the brief and retain an agreed physical reference.
Cover: an original pulp-blend diagram, not the complete mass composition of the finished sheet or the color of the pulp. Confirm color and surface with physical samples.
