Is every variation in natural-looking paper acceptable?
A natural appearance does not remove acceptance criteria. FIELD, RECAST and FIBREWORK represent different material directions; the expected colour, fibre features and permissible variation of a grade should be established through its documentation and approved samples. Include identity areas, small type, fold lines and larger images in the trial to distinguish intended character from a problem affecting use. Compare incoming batches with retained samples as agreed for the project, and record the grade, batch and location of a noticeable change for review. “It is natural” is not an acceptance decision, and one promotional photograph cannot determine whether a whole batch is suitable.
