Does soft-touch paper resist fingerprints and scratches?

Soft touch describes a tactile quality. Fingerprint resistance, scratch resistance and resistance to rubbing are separate questions. SOFTSKIN offers a low-reflection, soft-touch direction, but that description does not establish that a finished pack will remain free from marks. For beauty cartons, fragrance packaging or book covers, make samples using the actual stock and final printing and foil combination. Assess each concern under the intended handling and use conditions. Record the assessment method, acceptable appearance and approved sample, together with the paper grade and batch. Where protective performance is required, define the use conditions first and check the relevant grade-specific evidence.
