Does a water-based adhesive prove a carton is recyclable?

An adhesive description alone does not prove the recycling performance of a finished carton. Check the actual adhesive grade, amount, application position and combination with the paper and other components, and identify the recycling process being assessed. Alongside bonding trials, retain the pack structure and adhesive application record for the party responsible for the recycling assessment. Do not automatically carry over an earlier conclusion after changing stock, adhesive or film. For SOFTSKIN, HALO or another specialty stock, bonding suitability and recycling performance are separate checks. Record each outcome against its own evidence instead of using a successful gluing trial as proof of recyclability.
