Does a separable pack automatically recycle more easily?

Separability is one design condition. People must also be able to recognise and carry out the separation, and the components need an actual collection and treatment route in the target market. As a practical check, ask someone outside the design team to follow the instructions on a prototype and note tool use or easily missed pieces. Selecting RECAST or FIELD for the facing does not resolve the destination of handles, magnets, inserts or film. Review the separation steps, component materials and local collection requirements together before writing consumer instructions. The ability to take a pack apart does not by itself establish that the complete pack is recyclable.
