Paper selection and printing

Does a pearlescent appearance mean the paper has a metal film?

Appearance is not enough to identify the material structure. HALO is the white pearlescent direction, CHROMA the coloured pearlescent direction, and ALLOY the metallic-effect direction. These names help selection; they do not replace the construction information for an individual grade. When a customer asks about film, metallic constituents or recycling routes, identify the exact paper first and check its corresponding records. For design approval, use physical samples to compare viewing angle, lustre and the printed result. Do not infer composition from photographic highlights, label every reflective surface as a metal film, or conclude that it cannot be recycled solely from its appearance.
