Can natural-coloured paper directly contact food?

Colour, visible fibres and a “natural” name do not establish food-contact suitability. Define the food type, contact arrangement, duration, temperature and sales market, then check the relevant documentation for the material and complete converted construction. The responsible parties should include inks, coatings, adhesives and other contact layers in the assessment. FIELD’s natural appearance is not an approval for every food application, and experience with an outer food carton does not automatically cover a direct-contact layer. Identify the grade, use and confirmed scope in the project records. Do not turn a general material description into a food-safety promise when the supporting evidence is incomplete.
