Paper selection and printing

Can a close colour match justify changing paper?

A close colour match can narrow the shortlist, but it does not approve a substitution. Compare old and new stocks under the same viewing conditions, then use the actual artwork to assess surface lustre, texture, fine type and images. Where the project involves folding, foil, bonding or binding, inspect the corresponding prototypes as well. PALETTE coloured uncoated, CHROMA coloured pearlescent and SOFTSKIN coloured tactile papers can have similar hues while presenting different surfaces. Record the reason for the change, the new grade, specification and approved sample. Digital colours in VANGLAM Color System 40 are for reference; confirm the final colour with physical paper samples.
