Phoenix Tail Paper
Specialty paper with vertical phoenix-tail stripes whose sheen alternates along the rib, used for certificates, invites and packaging.
The ribs are pressed in during papermaking and read like tail feathers in raking light; the grain direction sets folding and layout direction. Fine four-colour screens fight the rib, so single colour, foil and embossing express it better; keep artwork aligned with the ribs and allow whitespace.
